Forgiveness – and Letting Go
November 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
When a relationship we have been in has involved a betrayal, or an abandonment/loss, or a lack of caring/support, many of us find ourselves living with a deep sense of hurt and pain. This is often referred to as “emotional baggage” – unresolved feelings connected to a past or current relationship that we perhaps prefer to not think about. We may have cognitively processed the experience and moved forward in our lives. But unless we also release/process the feelings that resulted (in a healthy way), we can never truly be free of the emotional wounds that they cause. By stuffing the feelings (burying or denying the hurt and anger and sadness), these wounds change who we are – we get stuck – they limit our ability to grow. We likely find ourselves avoiding new relationships or repeating the same unhealthy patterns in the relationships that come next.
Join us for this FREE Mental Wellness Workshop (Forgiveness – and Letting Go) – offered in-person – Tuesday, November 12th, at 1:00pm (MST) – for the Senior’s Corner, at the Beaumont Library.
This Workshop is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge – and is offered in partnership with the Beaumont Library. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives.
This Workshop is available to everyone – you do not have to live in Beaumont to participate. Registration is requested: click here or contact them by phone.
