Managing Anger Effectively
September 18, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FREEAnger is a normal, healthy emotion – but when it is not properly supported, it can start to get the better of us. Anger released outward can become violent and aggressive – relationships with others begin to suffer. Anger stuffed inward becomes depression – and our own confidence and ability to function in every day life will suffer. It can sometimes be tricky to know how to recognize anger in it’s early stages. We don’t always understand why it develops or what it’s real purpose might be. And until we do better understand these things, we will always struggle with managing anger effectively – knowing how to redirect this strong emotion to more appropriate outlets so we (or someone we care about) can move towards healing.
Join us for this FREE 6 session Mental Wellness Workshop Series (Managing Anger Effectively) – offered virtually, through Zoom – Monday evenings, at 6:30pm – from September 11th to October 23rd inclusive (there will be no session on October 9th, which is Thanksgiving).
This Workshop Series is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge – and is offered in partnership with Beaumont FCSS. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives. This Workshop series is only available to Beaumont and local area residents. Participants are welcome to attend all or just some of the sessions, as they are able (although different themes will be discussed each night, you do NOT have to attend every evening to get something helpful out of the experience).
Please contact Beaumont FCSS (780-929-1006) to register and to access the Zoom link. You only need to register once, for all 6 weeks of this Workshop Series.
