Managing Stress Effectively

June 14 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Managing Stress Effectively

On Saturday, June 14th, from 9am to 11am, Tacit Knowledge will joining the Beaumont Library Team for a training session called “Managing Stress Effectively”  – this session gives participants a basic understanding of how to manage the difficult emotions that sometimes create seemingly insurmountable challenges, given the stressors they face at work each day.  This Training provides a variety of fundamental strategies and mindfulness techniques (an emotional regulation toolbox) to help participants manage these difficult triggers.

It also will help them know how to control their cortisol levels naturally – one of the keys of coping with long-term stress situations.  Our cortisol levels impact so many of our other body/brain chemicals – our melatonin, dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and Gaba, to name just a few.  People sometimes end up taking medication in an attempt to address the symptoms of an out-of-balance cortisol level.  But dealing with the problem at its root source, in natural ways that can be integrated into a regular lifestyle, is a much more effective solution. This session helps participants identify what excess levels of cortisol looks like (physically, emotionally and mentally), and provides strategies for changing those levels, immediately and in the long-term.

This is a CLOSED Training session – not open to the public.
