Mental Health First Response Training

October 14, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mental Health First Response Training

One in 4 Canadians struggle with a mental illness.  Early detection and support are the key factors in preventing a lifelong battle with mental health problems.  MH First Response Training teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of the most common mental health issues in our society and provides supportive strategies for assisting people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.   This is an excellent Training session for anyone who works with the general public or who is interested in developing a basic/general understanding of the most common Mental Health issues that are prevalent in today’s world.  This training is designed for people in support positions, who cannot take on the role of counsellor with the client they are working with.

This is a closed session for the staff of the Alberta Immigrant Women and Children Centre.
