Mental Wellness Book Club (Unf*ck Yourself)
January 16 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
$15.75Tacit Knowledge is excited to present another of our specialized Mental Wellness Book Club Programs (Unf*ck Yourself). Book Therapy (also known as Bibliotherapy) is a type of counselling that focuses on leveraging the power of stories to heal. Individuals come together to read and discuss the highlights from a book chosen specifically to help them make concrete changes in their lives that are designed to move them towards an increased sense of happiness and peace.
Join us once a week – every Tuesday evening – at 6:30pm (MST) – from January 16th to March 12th, inclusive (January 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 5, 12). This 9-week Program is offered via Zoom and is a terrific opportunity for participants to come together and find creative ideas and simple strategies that promote a healthy well-being.
this time, we will be reading Unf*ck Yourself – by Gary John Bishop – for our Mental Wellness Book Club Program. According to Amazon, “this refreshing, BS-free, self-empowerment guide that offers an honest, no-nonsense, tough-love approach to help you move past self-imposed limitations. Gary John Bishop gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unfu*ked version of yourself.”
This book is broken into 9 chapters – one segment will be addressed in each of the 9 weekly sessions of the Program. Participants are encouraged to pre-read the appropriate segment on their own, before each meeting. (But don’t worry if you fall behind in your reading – we will be enjoying selected excerpts from the book together, in each meeting, and our discussions will focus on these parts especially.)
Everyone is welcome to join us for this Program – you DO NOT have to be a resident of Beaumont to attend. You can participate for all of or just some of the sessions, as you are able.
There is a small registration fee for this 9 week Mental Wellness Book Club Program – $15/evening – $135.00 plus GST (total cost is $141.75). Participants can etransfer this payment to Tacit, and then their spot will be reserved. Spaces are limited – there are only 15 seats available in this Bibliotherapy Group Program.
