November 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Tacit Knowledge, Beaumont FCSS and The Beaumont 50+ Club on Friday, November 8th– at 11:00am (MST) for 1 hour – for the September Speaker’s Corner Event – Navigating Grief. This event is a FREE, in-person workshop – happening at the Beaumont 50+ Club.
Everyone is welcome – you do NOT have to be a member of the Beaumont 50+ Club or a Beaumont resident to participate.
In this session, we will be discussing the topic of Navigating Grief. Loss is something that we all must endure. But as we move into the second half of our life’s journey, our losses tend to be experienced differently. We feel loss when a loved one dies – but also when we retire; when our children move away; when our physical health changes; when the vision for our future has to be modified, for any variety of reasons. How we cope with these losses also changes as we get older. Join us for a session that will help you learn more about the unique ways to manage the grief/loss that will begin to be a more constant factor as you walk through this later stage of life.
This session is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives.
