Professional Boundaries

May 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Professional Boundaries

Tacit Knowledge will be working with the AIWCC (Alberta Immigrant Women and Children Centre), as staff participate in a refresher course on Professional Boundaries.  The session offers a review of the ethics and expectations of having healthy professional boundaries when engaging in relationships with clients, and with others on the team.  This PD Learning session also teaches staff why the constant maintenance of professional boundaries is so essential in any workplace environment (but especially when vulnerable clients are involved), and it helps participates understand the devastating impact to the client and to the worker, when these boundaries are crossed.  This session includes the discussion of specific case studies, and the best outcomes for everyone involved.

This is a closed Training facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT.   Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives.
