Successfully Manage Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

December 5, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$15.00
Seasonal Affective Disorder

Did you know that Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) does not just happen in the winter?  Did you know that SAD effects women more than men?

More than 20% of our Canadian population suffers from various degrees of SAD, at different times throughout the year. Another 5-20% will be impacted by the symptoms of SAD, even though they will not be formally diagnosed.  There are ways to prevent and to lessen the impact of this Disorder on a person’s ability to function.  Early recognition and appropriate supports/treatment for SAD are the key to assuring that this Disorder does not worsen or become a regularly happening cycle in one’s life.

Join us for this Online Workshop to learn how to successfully manage Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).  Participants will better understand what SAD is (and how it differs from depression).  They will learn effective strategies to help lessen the negative impact of this illness; and they will learn how to prevent the effects of SAD from developing into the full blown Disorder, if it has not done so already.

This Workshop Series is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge – Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often provides her expertise on Seasonal Affective Disorder to her clients and to agencies/organizations who are trying to help their staff.

This Online Workshop (Successfully Manage Seasonal Affective Disorder/SAD) will be offered on December 5th, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm (there will be time available afterward for questions/discussion).  Everyone is welcome to attend (you do NOT need to be a resident of Beaumont to participate.) There is a cost for this session – $15/participant. To register/pay for this Workshop, please contact Kim at counsellors@tacitknows.com
