Managing Anxiety In Kids
September 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Without realizing that they are doing it, people who struggle with anxiety often develop patterns that end up making the feelings much worse. This session gives participants an increased understanding of why anxiety develops – and outlines common mistakes that inadvertently strengthen the feelings of anxiety that people of all ages experience (making it even more challenging to feel balanced and in control). Participants will learn the solutions that change these dysfunctional patterns so the anxiety can be successfully addressed and overcome. This session is designed specifically for parents, as they understand how to better help their children cope – but the information is applicable to anyone who lives with anxiety.
Join Tacit Knowledge and the Parkland & West Family Resource Network (Alberta Parenting for the Future Association) on September 23rd at 6:30pm MST (to 8:00pm MST) for this FREE, online Workshop.
Everyone is welcome to attend (you do NOT need to be a resident of Parkland County to participate.) To register for this Workshop, please contact: info@apfa.ca. Additional registration information will be available closer to the Event date.
This Workshop is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives.
