When we are just starting out as a new therapist, it can be a challenge to know how to select the modalities that will be a solid help for your clients – and to know how to select the types of clients that will be the best match for your skills.

Our “Narrow Down Your Niche and Find Your Modalities” session will provide participants with general insights into selecting the types of clients you want to work with and knowing which therapy modalities are needed to help build a strong foundation in your career. If you are struggling to figure out who you want to work with – or how to integrate the theories and methods you’ve learned so far – then this training is for you!

This Training session is happening on February 11th (4:30pm to 5:30pm PST) – it is a closed session and is being provided to participants who are attending the annual Career Day Conference at Rhodes Wellness College (Vancouver School of Healing Arts).  The sessions will be facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge.  Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and has been running her own, very successful private practice for the past 10 years.  She initially started out as a solo practitioner, and has since expanded into to a group practice that includes 6 Associates.  Kim continues to work fulltime in her practice (seeing about 20 clients a week, providing PD Training session, writing the weekly “Dear Tacit” mental wellness article for news sites across Canada, and managing her team), and is fully booked with client sessions 3 months in advance.

This Training Session has been approved for 1 CEC (through the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association).
