Forgiveness – And Letting Go!

May 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Forgiveness - And Letting Go!

When a relationship we have been in has involved a betrayal, or an abandonment/loss, or a lack of caring/support, many of us find ourselves living with a deep sense of hurt and pain.  This is often referred to as “emotional baggage” – unresolved feelings connected to a past or current relationship that we perhaps prefer to not think about.  We may have cognitively processed the experience and moved forward in our lives.  But unless we also release/process the feelings that resulted (in a healthy way), we can never truly be free of the emotional wounds that they cause.  By stuffing the feelings (burying or denying the hurt and anger and sadness), these wounds change who we are – we get stuck – they limit our ability to grow.  We likely find ourselves avoiding new relationships or repeating the same unhealthy patterns in the relationships that come next.

Join us for this FREE 4 session Mental Wellness Support Program (Forgiveness – And Letting Go!) – offered virtually, through Zoom – Monday evenings, at 6:30pm – from May 27th to June 17th, inclusive.  Learn how to recognize any stuffed emotions you might be dealing with – discuss  strategies for releasing these feelings for good, so the healing can begin – and discover ways to grow stronger and more resilient, in the face of hurt and sadness.

This Support Program is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge – and is offered in partnership with Beaumont FCSS.  Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to effectively address the stress that exists in their lives.

This Support Program is only available to Beaumont and local area residents.  Participants are welcome to attend all or just some of the sessions, as they are able (different themes will be discussed each night, so you do NOT have to attend every evening to get something helpful out of the experience).

Please contact Beaumont FCSS (780-929-1006) to register and to access the Zoom link.
