How To Cope With The Modern World

December 4, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

How To Cope With The Modern World

This How To Cope With The Modern World Training session was created as a special request – to help teams better understand how to handle the assortment of misinformation and facts that float around in the news and on social media – how to better balance being properly informed vs developing unhealthy doom-scrolling patterns – and how to successfully manage friends and family who perhaps share very different opinions and values (surrounding issues like those that relate to the LGBTQIA+ world, book-banning issues, vaccines and anti-vaxxers, conspiracy theorists, etc).

On Monday, December 4th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm, Tacit will present our How To Cope With The Modern World Training session to the MMIT team at the Strathcona County Library.  This is a closed session, for this organization specifically.  (If you are interested in having this Training made available to your team, please contact us at any time.)

This session will help staff identify the skill’s they need to decrease their stress levels and increase their positive and healthy relationship engagements, both personally and professionally – amid the turmoil of current evets in the world – and even in situations that involve people who have very opposing perspectives.

This Training is being facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge.  Kim is a therapist with 33 years of experience – she has been helping people find ways to navigate the chaos and concerns in the world around them – in ways that allow them to get along/respect one another no matter what their differences might be – for all of her career.
