Managing Imposter Syndrome

June 17 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Managing Imposter Syndrome

Are you struggling with feelings of doubt and inadequacy? Do you worry that everything good could just suddenly disappear, because maybe it was just the result of luck?  Do you have a hard time enjoying the success and accomplishments that you have achieved?  You are not alone – more than 70% of the population experience imposter patterns at some point in their lives.

As professionals in the mental wellness field, we are even more susceptible to the impact of Imposter Syndrome.  The work we do is emotionally exhausting – unless we are comfortable embracing our strengths and achievements, we can burn out quite quickly. Join us to learn more about why capable people can sometimes feel like frauds – and develop strategies to help banish these feelings of guilt, self-deprecation and incompetency, when they are not justified.

This “Managing Imposter Syndrome” Training session is happening on June 17th (2:30pm to 4:00pm) – it is a closed session and is being provided to participants who are attending the annual Career Day Conference at Rhodes Wellness College (Vancouver School of Healing Arts).  The sessions will be facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT of Tacit Knowledge.  Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and has been running her own, very successful private practice for the past 10 years.  She initially started out as a solo practitioner, and has since expanded into to a group practice that includes 6 Associates.  Kim also writes the weekly “Dear Tacit” mental wellness article that is featured in newspapers and online news sites across Canada.

This Training Session has been approved for 1 CEC (through the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association).
