The Art Of Doing Nothing

The idea of “doing nothing” has somehow developed a bad rap in our society.  People often feel quite uncomfortable when they sit still – they struggle with anxiety or negative self talk (calling themselves “lazy” for example) when they are not filling every minute of the day with some form of task oriented distraction. Being busy to the point of exhaustion now seems to be a badge of honour that many strive to achieve.  But “doing nothing” is actually an incredibly necessary skill that we all need to embrace if we want to be healthy and happy human beings.  In the quiet and calm moments that are left empty, our brain is able to make connections and develop pathways that absolutely cannot be developed while we are busy.  This Training Session helps participants understand the critical importance of “doing nothing” – and it provides strategies that can help increase a healthy sense of “nothing” in a person’s life.
